So here we are, the first post… how very exciting! As much as I loved the previous incarnation of tommunism.org as a portfolio site, it was a bugger to update so the content was all too static. Now tommunism.org has taken on a photoblog format I hope to make the content much more dynamic. I aim to post photographs as I take them rather than leave them on my hard disk collecting proverbial dust.
So, I’m going to kick things off with my portfolio favourites. From February 2007, this shot marks the beginning of my love affair with the Lomo LC-A and experimentation with cross processed slide film. I had just started a new job and would often walk over to Tesco in my lunch break to grab a sandwich. I used to cut across land cleared for an industrial estate that was probably never built. It was all rather mundane and uninspiring, but I think this encouraged me to take a closer look and notice the little things that add intrigue to the banal.
